If you wish to transfer a domain from one domain name registrar to another, you’ll have to go through a few security steps. One of them is getting a unique EPP authentication code from the current registrar – on the condition that you are the registrant, since the code is sent to the owner's email and nobody else can obtain it. You will need to provide this code to the new domain registrar, otherwise they won’t be able to begin the domain name transfer process. The EPP authentication codes are case-sensitive and may contain numbers or special symbols such as commas or dots, which can be easily misentered, so make sure you copy & paste the right code. As an additional safety measure, the transfer code for a domain name may be changed regularly. Some domain name registrars call this code an Auth key, a domain secret or a domain password as well.

EPP Transfer Protection in Cloud Hosting

In case you have a Linux cloud service, you have registered a domain with us and you want to transfer it away, you can get its EPP authorization code with no more than several clicks. When you sign into your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and visit the Registered Domains section, you will see all the domain names that you’ve registered with us displayed in alphabetical order. Next to each domain name, you’ll see a mini EPP icon for all domain name extensions that need an EPP code in order to be transferred between domain registrars. Clicking on the icon will email the code to the domain owner’s email address immediately. In the exact same section you can also see and ultimately change the email address, if the one there is not valid anymore.

EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Servers

You can effortlessly obtain the transfer code for any domain name registered under a semi-dedicated server account if you want to transfer it. This can be achieved through the exact same Control Panel, via which you manage your account, so you will not have to go through different tools. All you will have to do is visit the domain management section of the Control Panel and click the EPP button for the domain name that you would like to transfer, provided that its extension supports transfers with a code. Our system sends all codes automatically to the domain name registrant’s email listed in the domain’s WHOIS record, so in case the email that is currently entered is outdated, you can update it with a few clicks of the mouse without having to leave the Control Panel’s domain management section.
